Preperation

I can’t use iWeb offline while I’m away as I will only be taking my iPod Touch. So I have set up a WordPress account on order to keep friends and family updated on our progress.

Preperation has been going fairly well. I only have a few items left to buy, just as well, because I’m skint now. The most important being glacier glasses.

We leave on Sunday at 6am and should be in Champonix by about 2pm, lots of time to settle in and get our bearings. Our first meeting with our guides is at 6pm.

I am beginning to get nervous now. There are so many variables that could go wrong and work against us. I suppose my biggest fear is of being disappointed and finding myself standing on the mountain behind a long line of other climbers, knee deep in yellow snow.

I am also concerned about my energy levels. Having just been diagnosed as having a B12 difficiency, I am not sure if I have the necessary drive. I feel constantly knackered.
